Update Lumevia
New versions of Lumevia bring fixes and new features. Updating is free, and your settings come with you.
Check for an update
In the Shopify admin, go to Online Store and look at the version number beside Lumevia. When a new version is out, a notice takes its place. See what changed in the Release notes.
Update
- Click the update notice, then Add to draft themes. Shopify adds a copy named Updated copy of Lumevia under Draft themes. Your live store doesn't change.
- Click Review to look over the updated copy, and check your most important pages.
- When you are happy with it, click Publish.
What comes with you
| Carried over | Needs care |
|---|---|
| Theme settings, such as colors, fonts and buttons | Changes made to the code, which are copied over only when they don't clash with the update |
| Your sections and blocks, their order and their settings | Your own CSS, if the parts of the page it styles have changed |
| Templates you created | |
| App embeds and app blocks | |
| Wording changed in Edit default theme content |
After an update, Shopify tells you on the theme whether your code changes were included. If they weren't, copy them into the updated version by hand. That's one reason to keep code changes to a minimum, and to note down any you make.
Tip
Keep the previous version under Draft themes for a week or two after you publish the update, so you can switch back if something looks wrong.
